On the precipice of its golden anniversary, Mid-State Filigree Systems, Inc. (MFS) recorded a prosperous year in 2017. The Cranbury, New Jersey business has been producing successful Filigree products for the construction of concrete decks since 1968 throughout the Northeast.
Recently, MFS completed 10 Hudson Yards, the new global headquarters of Coach, Inc. The 1.8 million square foot concrete frame structure in the heart of Manhattan, was developed by the Related Companies & Oxford Properties and was designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, with structural engineer Thorton-Tomesetti.
Other notable projects include:
The “Sono Collection: Mall. MFS started delivery to the Norwalk, Conn. on the1.2 million square feet garage using Filigree slabs and 60′ long-span slab beams.
In October, MFS topped-out the Theater Square 23 story luxury condominiums in Newark, N.J. using Filigree voided flat plate slabs.
Earlier this year MFS completed 205 Race Street in Philadelphia, Penn. The project is a 12 story luxury apartment complex using Filigree voided flat plate slabs.
The MFS manufacturing facility has successfully supplied over 50,000,000 square feet of Filigree Wideslab products without a single instance of delay, delivering, in some cases, over 45,000 square feet of material per week on a single project.
The Filigree method is a safe and lasting process for construction of concrete decks that successfully integrates “factory precast” and field-construction technologies. This is accomplished by constructing such decks from two interconnected concrete placements, one made in a factory, and the other done in the field. This process effectively accelerates the construction of structures with enhanced physical and aesthetic properties, and in many cases, may reduce their construction cost.
The Filigree construction method saves time, money and is environmentally friendly. With an established record of supplying Filigree material for composite concrete construction, MFS provides innovative solutions to satisfy demanding architectural and engineering challenges.
